Trav and Gae's in Northside.

5 places you would love to go back to:
K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen - Don't go for the flash of Emerils enjoy the true Creole food from the master Paul Prudhomme.
Conchy Joes - The best Bahamian food in Florida located on the Indian River in Jensen Beach, may not be there anymore.
Tezka Restaurant, Mexico City - Spanish/Basque food to die for, a great selection of Habana Montecristos and exceptional service.
A fish restaurant in Singapore that I can't remember the name. On the beach with tanks where you pick out your fish. The chili crab is outstanding, but you have to have the drunken prawns (bite them quick so they don't pinch you).
The Blue Front BBQ, West Palm Beach Fl - Great southern BBQ, but the best damn Conch fritters ever made.
Sharkey's on the Beach in Venice, FL. Not for the food (although the seafood was very good) but for their frozen concoctions. They have a 2-drink MAXIMUM.

Margarita's, Capitola, California. On the outside deck, overlooking the bay. It's standard Mexican fare, but I have good memories of the place. I'd just been on a job interview in Monterey, and I got the job and I thought I was moving to CA.
I later thought the better of it and turned down the job offer. But the view, the alcohol, the mood. Ahhh, it was a good day. I'd love to go back.
Slim's, Northside. I don't know too many people interested in funky food combined with communal dining. And I don't want to go by myself. Plus it is pricey considering the oddity.
Boca, Northside. I've heard the food is "exquisite." Haven't been there since they changed chefs.
Jean Roberts, Downtown. I'll go there on a special occasion.
Jean Ro, Downtown.
Cherokee Grill, Gatlinburg. Nothing particularly special about this place except that I've always had a good time there. It's the first place I go when I take my trip down there. It's always the kick off of my mini vacation.
(Can't remember the name). An italian restaurant in Greenwich Village. Wonderful food, outdoor dining. Yum.
I place high value of good memories attached to the food.
The Krebs in Skaneateles New York
First time I ever had Lobster Bisque (still the best I've ever had)
Great grandma lived up there , we went when we visited her.
Great food, neat place. Real horsehair couches, the bar are was upstairs and they would bring huge trays around the table and sere the entres and sides onto your plate from them.
A very fond memory.

OOPS! I typed Bisque but it was lobster Newburgh (still best I've ever had and hey it's been about 25 years)
Didnt think about it until I was eating dinner tonight, but yes it was Lobter Newburgh.
My appologies to the Krebs for getting it wrong, but hey it was still awesome!
